Mr. Herbert (Herb) Thomas Gingell

Mr. Herbert (Herb) Thomas Gingell, 68, of W. Main Street, Emmitsburg, died Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Gettysburg Hospital, Gettysburg, Pa.

Born June 7, 1938, in Baltimore, he was a son of the late George W. and Effie Rebekah Hoke Gingell.

He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Anne Small Gingell, on August 15, 2006.

He was a member of Incarnation United Church of Christ, Emmitsburg. He was a bus driver for Wolfe's bus lines for 34 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Francis X. Elder Post 121, Emmitsburg. He was a member of Emmitsburg Lions Club. He was a graduate of Fairfield High School, class of 1956.

Surviving are five children, Thomas Kevin Gingell of Emmitsburg, Kelly Ann Conner of Emmitsburg, Herbert T. Gingell of Smithsburg, Shirley Kristin Watts of Emmitsburg and George Michael Gingell of Easton; four grandchildren, Jeremy Allen Gingell, Joshua David Gingell, Trey Anthony Watts and Michael Anthony Gingell; and one sister, Rebecca Yoder of Cogan Station, Pa.

He was predeceased by a sister, Sally Brown; and a granddaughter, Jenna Gingell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, from Incarnation United Church of Christ, W. Main St., Emmitsburg, with his brother-in-law, the Rev. Bud Yoder, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Reginald Rice.

Inturnment will be in Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.
