Mrs. Pearl Alice Long Sayler, 88, of Franklin Street, Fairfield, Pa., died Sunday, March 6, 2005 at the Comfort Care, Fairfield, Pa.
Born Dec. 31, 1916 in Motter Station, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lula Harbaugh Long.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard (Dee) Sayler on July 15, 1977.
She was a member of Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmitsburg.
Surviving are six children, Linda Myers of Fairfield, Pa., Donna Barone of Marietta, Ga., Bonnie Hess of Thurmont, Tina King of Wolfsville, Vickie Novak of Rocky Ridge, James Saylor of Fairfield, Pa.; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one
brother, Guy Long of Emmitsburg; two sisters, Sylvia Rosensteel and Mae Warren, both of Fairfield, Pa.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Opal Stambaugh and two brothers, James E. Long and Ray Long.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9 from Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmitsburg, with her pastor, the Rev. Jon Greenstone, officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Rocky Ridge.
Friends may call from 12 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 at the Skiles Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
