I was looking through your WWI Vets and came upon my granduncle Arthur Harrison Bentzel. You have his last name misspelled as Bentzal. He was the son of David and Mary Rebecca Willet Bentzel born June 30, 1890 Emmitsburg. Below is the obit I have for him, he is buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Emmitsburg. His
brothers and sisters were Calvin Israel, William Henry, Susan Mariah (Gallagher), David Edward, Jacob Samuel, Anna Belle (Springer), Mary Elizabeth (Hess) and Arthur was the youngest. William Henry died prior to Arthur.

Six More Die of Influenza
Spanish influenza claimed six victims yesterday. Two of them were Yankees in training at Camp Meade. The Influenza casualty list: Arthur Bentzel Emmitsburg, Camp Meade. Private Arthur Bentzel of Emmitsburg died at Camp Meade Monday, following a few days illness of pneumonia, which started from an attack of influenza.
He had been at camp since May. The first word of his illness was received at his home on Sunday and his mother at once left for camp to be at his bedside. Surviving him are his mother Mrs. Mary Bentzel, of Emmitsburg, and three brothers and three sisters. The body will likely be removed to the home of his mother from where the funeral will be held
although no plans had been made, it was learned.
